Robyn Kinebrew Talks About Her Experience with Bias in Healthcare as a Black Mother
Robyn Kinebrew is a member of the Patient and Parent Advisory Group for The Roadmap Project and a member of the ABP’s Family Leadership and the Conflict of Interest committees. She is also the mother of three sons, two of which are twins with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Robyn discussed her experience as a Black mother of children with chronic illness and the biases she experiences in a post for the American Board of Pediatrics Blog called Bias Can Affect Outcomes; Black Families Need Support.
“What I’ve learned from these two experiences and many others is: All things being equal, Blackness forcibly affects your outcomes.”
